The General Directorate of Civil Defense and the Ministry of Education signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in the areas of safety and volunteer work. The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Riyadh.

The MoU, signed by Major General Dr. Hamoud bin Sulaiman Al-Faraj, Director General of Civil Defense, and Engineer Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Ghamdi, Assistant Minister of Education, aims to implement joint training and research initiatives and programs, that will contribute to national preparedness and risk prevention. The MoU also seeks to raise awareness of risks and prevention guidelines within the educational environment. Furthermore, it paves the way for training education personnel in emergency response and crisis and disaster management. Additionally, the MoU emphasizes the application of best practices in risk prevention and mitigation.
