The Director General of Civil Defense, Major General, Dr. Hamoud bin Sulaiman Al-Faraj, inspected Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports Complex in Riyadh, where the World Championship in Fire and Rescue Sport is scheduled to take place from October 26 to November 1, 2025, with Alexander Chupriyan, President of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers.

The inspection tour included visiting teams' training sites, referees and competition committees, medical services, and the media center. Following the tour, Al-Faraj also reviewed the championship committee agendas and arrangements for receiving and accommodating delegations from 22 countries . The teams will participate in four main competitions: hook ladder climbing, 100-meter hurdles, 400-meter relay, and a firefighting contest.

This championship, which includes more than 300 contestants, further strengthens Saudi Arabia's position as a leading nation in organizing major international sporting events.
