As part of its mission and responsibilities to excel in protecting lives and property, and to warn the public of various hazards during emergencies, the General Directorate of Civil Defense has developed the National Early Warning Platform, which meets the highest international standards. The platform utilizes Cell Broadcast Technology to deliver warning and alert messages to mobile phones connected to the networks of mobile service providers regulated by the Communications, Space & Technology Commission (CST).

The National Early Warning Platform is a digital platform that broadcasts emergency alert messages using the Cell Broadcast Service. It delivers warning messages, accompanied by a distinctive alert tone, to mobile phones connected to mobile networks.
