Today, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the MOI, the General Directorate of Civil Defense signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the government of Tajikistan to pave the way for cooperation in civil defense and civil protection. The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the World Championship in Fire and Rescue Sport, held in Riyadh. 

This MoU aims to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries and facilitate the exchange of field and technical experiences in risk prevention and emergency responses. The MoU also endeavors to build capacity and provide training in civil defense and civil protection. 

Furthermore, the MoU establishes joint coordination methods in search and rescue missions, as well as disaster management. It also emphasizes the importance of improving emergency preparedness and enhancing the Kingdom's international partnership in safeguarding lives and property. 

Signing this MoU highlights the shared commitment of both sides to strengthen joint relations and expand areas of international cooperation in humanitarian and preventive fields.
