(24) trainees from the General directorate of Riyadh and Training Department, have participated in a training course in how to deal with venomous snakes and alike in Riyadh Zoo. The course includes how to differentiate between venomous and non venomous snakes, types and their locations, plus how to use special tools when dealing with these reptiles. Then, an anesthesia rifle has been introduced to the trainees and how to use it. This training program has been conducted because these reptiles appear in summer after their winter hibernating. This program was supervised by Riyadh Zoo Supervisor, Engineer/ Mohammad A. Alhawashi, and carried out by Snake expert Professor/ Talabah Abdullah and Dr. Mostafa Alkateeb.
