The General Director of Civil Defense, Lieutenant General/ Saad AlTwaijri assured that the sponsorship of H.R.H Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier, and Minister of Interior of the Conference on "terrorism between the extremism of thought and ideology of extremists" and honoring the opening ceremony of the conference, organized by the Islamic University of Madinah in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior, represents a motive to continue efforts in facing terrorism at all levels and protect society against deviant ideas which are incompatible with the tolerant teachings of Islam. It is also, to strengthen the intellectual confrontation against false claims and misguided and extremist ideas, to rise to the level of success of the security confrontation. Lieutenant General/ AlTwaijri added in a statement on the occasion of the end of the Conference, that the sponsorship of H.R.H the Second Deputy of the event and instructions with the participation of the Ministry of Interior in organizing the Conference, clearly demonstrate the care of the leadership on counter-terrorism efforts, and help those who were seduced to return to the path of right and develop the abilities of the youth to face and fight this thought, through the correct understanding of Islam.
