The Minister of Interior approves civil defense plan for this year Hajj

HRH Prince Mohammad bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, and the Chairman of Supreme Hajj Committee, has approved the general plan for civil defense works incase of emergencies for this year Hajj season 1435, according to the Director General of Civil Defense, Major General Suleiman bin Abdullah Al-Amro. 

Maj. Gen. Al-Amro said that the plan takes into account the latest changes in Makkah, Madinah and the Holy Sites, and it has been prepared upon the lessons learned from Hajj in previous years to include the latest developments related to the projects being implemented as the expansion of the Grand Mosque. 

Maj. Gen. al-amro stressed on the readiness of civil defense forces participating in Hajj works according to a plan which includes full preparations to handle all types of possible risks through risk analysis, in addition to other cases that require the implementation of civil defense measures with the cooperation and coordination with all governmental and non-governmental agencies working in Hajj.  More than 450 civil defense centers in Makkah, the holy sites and Madinah, fully prepared and equipped with latest fire & rescue vehicles, safety equipment, to serve and provide safety to all pilgrims.
