HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz , Minister of Interior and Chairman of Supreme Hajj Committee has directed to take all necessary measures to ban the use of liquid gas (LPOG) in the holy sites for the purpose of cooking during this year Hajj 1439 H . The decision is directed to all relevant agencies to follow up its implementation and to take formal action against offenders .

The Director General of Civil Defense , Lieutenant General Suleiman bin Abdullah Al-Amro explained that , expressing his thanks and appreciation to His highness decision to continue banning the use of liquid gas in the holy sites to provide all what preserve the security and safety of the pilgrims, and to prevent what disturbs or impedes them when performing their rituals .

Al-Amro said that the safety squads working in Hajj will carry out daily inspections inside the Hajj camps and buildings . They will confiscate LPG cylinders , if found , and impose fines on those responsible for bringing them .
