The General Directorate of Civil Defense has won the E-Government Excellence Award for best account on social networking (Instagram) in a ceremony organized by the Arab Organization for Social Responsibility in Dubai, UAE.
Civil defense won the award on the category of national and military sites for the best interactive platform . The evaluation has been done according to international standards and the assessment criteria included: creative aspects, the ease of use and the structure of the site. The Director General of Civil Defense, Maj. Gen. Suliman Al-Amro expressed his joy for this achievement stating that civil defense has succeeded in implementing new-media and social networking techniques in spreading safety culture and awareness messages to the general public.
Maj. Gen. Al-Amro stressed that this success comes through the support and care of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Naif , the Minister of Interior, to enhance civil defense capabilities to perform its tasks and duties in maintaining the gains of the country and protecting the lives of all.
