The Directorate of Civil Defense in Jazan in collaboration with the University of Jazan has organized an educational seminar under the title of "Means of safety in educational facilities and evacuation plans". Dr. Ali Arishi, the Assistant of Jazan University attended the seminar along with university personnel in the Hall of the preparatory year at the university.

The Assistant of Director of Civil Defense in the region for Operations, Colonel Saad al-Ghamdi, and the Director of Safety Department, Captain Engineer Hassan Musa Jaraan have participated in the seminar to explain the definition of civil defense, and indicate the need for emergency exits and means of safety in the facility and clarify a number of wrong methods during any evacuation.

The seminar aims at the importance of creating community participation to face any emergency and to determine the abilities of educational institutions and their role in during evacuation process.
